Similar to the reaction Sub Pop had to the corporate industry driven trends and views I felt the same with the era of social media and the systemic push for being accepted by likes.

There was an era where creatives and like minded people created and listened to certain music on their own means. They found it in unique ways, they created things for no one else but themselves. I don’t believe those reasons exist anymore. We used to call these people “posers” thus this idea became a reason to make some merch with it. Don’t take what I’m saying literally because if anything I’ve now a “poser”.
